Privacy Policy

Flipcheck ("the app") is a resale price scanner. This policy explains what
data the app collects and how it is used. We collect the minimum needed to
operate the service and never sell personal information.
Data the app sends off-device
- Photos you scan. When you scan an item, the image is
sent to our server and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude Vision API for
identification. Images are used only to produce the price estimate for
that scan and are not stored on our servers after the request completes.
- A random device identifier. Generated on install and
stored on the device. Used to enforce the daily free-scan limit. It is
not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or contact information.
- Anonymous usage events. Firebase Analytics records
events such as "scan completed" or "paywall shown" so we can improve
the app. No personal information is attached.
- Crash reports. Firebase Crashlytics captures crash
stack traces so we can fix bugs.
What we do NOT collect
- Your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
- Your Apple ID, contacts, or calendar.
- Location data.
- Advertising identifiers. No third-party ad networks are used.
Subscriptions
Payments for the Pro subscription are processed by Apple through the App
Store. We do not receive your credit card or Apple ID. RevenueCat is used to
verify subscription status; it receives an anonymous subscriber identifier
only.
Third-party services
Anthropic (item identification), eBay (price data), Vercel (server
hosting), Upstash (rate limiting), RevenueCat (subscription management),
Firebase (analytics + crash reporting).
Your rights
To delete all associated data, uninstall the app. Because Flipcheck does
not use accounts, deleting the app is sufficient to remove all data tied to
your device. For any other requests, contact

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at
this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
